What test is needed to study IELTS and what's the result used for?

When studying for the IELTS exam, you need to test and apply various kind of skills. The preparation for the IELTS exam is divided into four skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. These skills are assessed separately, and the IELTS score is divided into 9 bands, ranging from 1 (no English skills) to 9 (Accurate, precise, and proficient in English language skills). The IELTS exam has two main modules:

  • ACADEMIC modules IELTS: This is for individuals who want to take the exam for educational purposes, such as applying to study abroad.
  • GENERAL TRAINING modules IELTS: This module is designed for work-related purposes and for using English in everyday life.
Where Can You Apply and Take the Exam?

You can apply for and take the IELTS exam through two main test centres: IDP and New Cambridge Institute.

  1. IDP: You can apply directly through IDP by calling +662-6383111, extension 111 or 112.
  2. New Cambridge Institute: You can also apply directly at New Cambridge Institute, located at CENTRAL Tower@central world, 14th floor. You can contact us at +662-613-1177. Alternatively, you can fill out the application form on our website to register for the IELTS exam.
Documents Required for IELTS Registration

1.Fill out the IELTS exam application form in capital letters.

2.Provide a copy of one of the following identification documents along with the original / National Identification Card / Passport

*For applicants under the age of 15, a copy of the student identification card can be used in place of the documents mentioned above.

3.Pay the exam registration fee at the customer service department.

*Please ensure that your documents are accurate and complete on the day of registration. Failure to provide the correct and complete documents may result in your registration being denied.
